Going Rural
// April 11th, 2009 // 4 Comments » // Relocation, Work
I was out Friday night and came back, Saturday noon. I was out with some friends in San Juan, Batangas for an overnight swim. I rarely go out of town so I really took the opportunity to get away from the city to relax. In the morning, we went to the farm where we happily picked guavas and got a bag of green mangoes. Sometimes, I miss the simple life in the province. I have actually tried to live in the province for 3 years as a kid. The thought of settling down in the province has hit me. Can I really live in the province? There are a couple of pre-requisites before I consider. My must haves?
- internet (I can’t go through a day without checking my email. I also need this for my freelance work.)
- cable TV (The life in the province is boring. Everyone needs entertainment.)
- a car (To get around without having to take public transportation.)
- a work from home job (I need to be productive and I gotta earn money.)
- my own house (of course!)
And oh, my boyfriend (hopefully he’d be my hubby when I decide to relocate to a rural area), too. At first, I thought I couldn’t possibly live in the province. But if I had these, I know I will survive.
