The Hunt is On: Yahoo! Philippines’ Purple Hunt

Folks, the hunt has officially begun. Actually it started last June 2nd and this will be up until July 25th. And I have decided. I am joining the fun. In a nutshell, the Purple Hunt is like a treasure hunt with a purple twist. Participants will be asked to solve online clues and find items around Metro Manila. I had the opportunity to briefly talk about this project with Jojo Añonuevo, Yahoo! Philippines’ General Manager. He seems as excited as I am. With all the huge prizes who wouldn’t be excited? So let’s quit all this chit chat and let me give you the real deal about Yahoo! Philippines’ Purple Hunt.

The Mechanics

How to Enter

Are you residing in the Philippines? Do you have a Yahoo! ID? If your answer is yes to both questions, you’re definitely in. Go to Yahoo! Philippines to register.

How to Hunt

1. After registering, go to Purple Hunt’s microsite.
2. Look at the grid, see the lil squares? Look for the Purple Tickets that look like this. You will be given clues as to which Yahoo! property you will find the ticket.
3. Having problems looking for the ticket? Go to some of the Yahoo! Philippines properties like Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Answers, Flickr, and Yahoo! Messenger.
4. You can also use your mobile phone to find the Purple Ticket via Purple Hunt’s WAP site ph.m.yahoo.com/purplehunt. Get updates and freebies straight to your mobile phone.

Note: You can only find the Purple Tickets until June 18th so start now!

• June 5-7 – Market! Market!
• June 8-10 – Greenbelt 3
• June 11-15 – Glorietta 3
• June 16-18 – Trinoma

The Prizes

   Simply go to Yahoo! Philippines to register. If you already have a Yahoo! iD then there’s no need to get a new one. So basically , your Y! iD is your registration. Hope I answered your question.
